MASERATI MCPURA: Pure Energy and Elegance at Goodwood

Maserati shook the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 with the highly anticipated global premiere of the latest evolution of its super sports car, the Maserati MCPURA. Described as the "essence of performance," this new model, proudly 100% made in Italy, promises to redefine the driving experience of the Trident brand.

Available in coupé and convertible versions, the latter designated Cielo, the MCPURA is an evolution of the MC20 Halo Car, which in 2020 ushered in a new era for Maserati. The primary focus has been on enhancing the exterior design, materials, and interior finishes, but the heart of the machine remains the unmistakable and powerful 630 CV Nettuno engine, a testament to Maserati's passion for performance.

The MCPURA embodies a philosophy of "pure elegance, character, and emotion." The launch campaign adopts the iconic formula E = MCPURA, a powerful hyperbole inspired by Einstein's theory of relativity, celebrating an energy capable of multiplying until it becomes a pure expression of excellence.

The MCPURA was presented in the sophisticated Ai Aqua Rainbow color, developed as part of the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program. This shade, available in a matte finish for the coupé and gloss for the Cielo, evokes light in motion, with a blue that transforms in the sun, creating a rainbow effect. Magenta details with blue mica adorn the Trident on the grille and C-pillar, as well as the side insignias, adding a touch of elegance. The interiors stand out with Alcantara Ice seats, laser-etched with the Trident, presenting a futuristic and sporty look with a two-sided backing in iridescent tones.

The color palette for the MCPURA is vast and evocative, with strong references to both the Italian spirit and Maserati's iconic heritage. Among the novelties are the bold Devil Orange, and the elegant dual-layer metallic Verde Royale and Night Interaction, which solidify the MCPURA as Maserati's new standard-bearer for Italian luxury. The Fuoriserie program also offers over thirty color options, ensuring unprecedented personalization.

The MCPURA is distinguished by four main features: a carbon-fiber body, the Maserati-patented V6 Nettuno engine, "Butterfly" doors, and, in the Cielo version, a retractable polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) glass roof. The carbon-fiber monocoque ensures rigidity and lightness, resulting in a total weight of under 1,500 kg and an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kg/CV, leading its class.

The iconic V6 Nettuno engine, a technological revolution patented by Maserati and 100% produced in-house, is the heart of the MCPURA. This 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine delivers 630 CV at 7500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque from 3000 rpm. Its secret lies in the innovative pre-chamber combustion system featuring twin spark plugs, a technology derived from Formula 1 that Maserati has brought to a road engine.

The "Butterfly" doors not only improve access to the passenger compartment but also showcase the carbon-fiber structure of the chassis. In the Cielo version, the PDLC roof is a class-first innovation, switching from opaque to transparent in just one second, providing a versatile driving experience, from full immersion with the roof closed to an "open sky" sensation.

MCPURA production takes place at Maserati's historic plant in Viale Ciro Menotti, Modena, where the Nettuno engine, the GT2 Stradale, and, from Q4 2025, the GranTurismo and GranCabrio are also manufactured. The factory stands out for its innovation and craftsmanship, complemented by the Officine Maserati Fuoriserie, a space dedicated to the most refined customization.
