Ferrari has announced an unprecedented event for the prestigious Monterey Car Week next August: an exclusive Ferrari Daytona SP3 Tailor Made, a unique masterpiece to be auctioned by RM Sotheby's.

This singular vehicle, meticulously crafted to embody the essence of Ferrari's innovation, luxury, and racing heritage, has an even nobler purpose: all proceeds will benefit Ferrari's various global educational initiatives.

This Daytona SP3 "Tailor Made" represents the pinnacle of Ferrari's personalization program. It boasts a striking two-tone carbon fiber finish and a Giallo Modena body, contrasting with glossy black on the front splitter, sills, and rear diffuser.

An unprecedented and striking detail is the application of the Ferrari logo in Giallo Modena across the entire upper body, marking the first time the symbol has been integrated into a livery in this manner. The interior, in turn, features an innovative fabric derived from recycled tires, adorned with an exclusive "Prancing Horse" motif.

The dashboard and steering wheel column are crafted from a type of carbon fiber commonly used in Formula 1, further reinforcing the vehicle's intrinsic connection to Ferrari's racing lineage.

This exceptional vehicle will be numbered "599+1", an addition to the already sold-out original allocation of the Ferrari Daytona SP3. The car will be equipped with a plaque testifying to its unique status, and, as mentioned, all funds raised from the auction will be dedicated to elevating educational projects to global standards, continuing Ferrari's long-standing tradition of giving back to the community.

The Ferrari Foundation, a public charity, will allocate these funds to various future educational projects. The Foundation's most recent initiative was a significant collaboration with "Save the Children," where Ferrari contributed to the rebuilding of the Aveson Charter School in Altadena, California, whose campus was tragically destroyed by the Eaton Wildfire earlier this year.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the second car to join the exclusive limited-edition "Icona" series, paying homage to Ferrari's mid-rear-engined V12 sports prototypes that earned the marque its unparalleled status in motorsport.

Limited to just 599 examples, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine, delivering 840 hp. This combination of power and design allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.85 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (0-124 mph) in an incredible 7.4 seconds.

The Ferrari Icona series, launched in 2018 with the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2, draws inspiration from the 1950s competition "barchettas" that cemented the brand's legendary status in motorsport. The "Icona" cars feature exclusive solutions not found in the rest of the range and are intended solely for Ferrari's top clients and collectors, proud ambassadors of the "Prancing Horse" marque.
