Where Elegance Unveils the Unexplored
Genesis, certainly very active this month, after presenting the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Cabriolet concepts at the Seoul Mobility Show 2025, now reveals the X Gran Equator Concept, a vehicle that transcends mere functionality to become a portal to adventure with refinement.
Far from being a common utility vehicle, this inaugural prototype from the brand in the overland universe reinvents its own aesthetic signature, "Athletic Elegance," imbuing it with a robustness that invites exploration of the world's far reaches.
Luc Donckerwolke, the creative mind behind Genesis, sums up the soul of this concept:
"The X Gran Equator Concept is a harmoniously choreographed dance of opposites. It unites the inherent sophistication of our brand with the resilience needed to face the unknown, the desire for adventure with a comfort that knows no limits. It is the materialization of off-road competence without sacrificing an apex of luxury, a passport to unveil the planet's most secret and inspiring landscapes."
The exterior design of the X Gran Equator Concept celebrates the purity of lines and the serenity of smooth surfaces. The long hood, the sleek silhouette of the cabin, and the fluidity of the C-pillar deviate from the conventions of the SUV segment.
However, robustness emerges in the details: the dark-toned wheel arches and the imposing 24-inch beadlock wheels declare its aptitude for less-traveled paths. Genesis' luminous identity, the unmistakable two-line headlights, ingeniously merges with the strikingly geometric auxiliary lights and the practical split-opening tailgate, resulting in an aesthetic as impactful as it is functional.
Although its arrival on the production lines remains unknown, its innovative design and intelligent features, such as the integrated roof rails and the ingenious split-opening tailgate, reveal the vast creative potential of the brand.
The world premiere of the X Gran Equator Concept will take place at the 2025 New York International Auto Show, opening its doors to the public on April 18th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
